Love & Hip Hop - Watching Movies in June 2015

I’m caught up to the latest Love & Hip Hop series finally. This show makes you want to know what’s going to happen next, even though it’s mostly drama. While I was watching season 5 of the New York series, I was debating on writing this long drawn out blog about each character, similar to what I’ve done in the past but the more I watched, the more I realized that it would take way too long. Too much going on, too much drama, just too much.

Love & Hip Hop New York – Season 5: This season wasn’t too bad. It was a lot better than the Hollywood season. In the previous NY season, I thought the Pete Gunns situation with his baby momma and wife was stupid but this season, I felt bad for them all.

Rich Dollars, definitely a “creep”. He was bogus for sleeping with his guy’s ex. Not sure what Erica was on this season but she was arrogant, wasn’t feeling her too much. I dig Yandy, don’t think she handled the situation with assistant well. Diamond Strawberry, she’s nuts. Chrissy, she was a whole lot of woman but wasn’t feeling her face or how she was trying to run the relationship with her guy.

Overall, this season was decent. I’m finding the New York series is a lot better than the Atlanta season.

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta - Season 4: Just started watching this season, it’s kind of boring so far. I’m 4 episodes in.  I may just wait until the season is over before I continue watching so I don’t have to wait a week to watch each episode.

Fifty Shades of Grey - Watching Movies in June 2015

Fifty Shades of Grey: After all the hype in the past year or so about the book, all the different females getting themselves worked up while reading this, I had very high expectations of this movie (not sure what was left out from the book in the movie). It was very sexual and intense and I liked the connection between the main two people. Besides that, I didn’t think it was that serious. The way I was hearing about it, just didn’t seem to add up to what I was watching.

Not sure what’s really going on with the guy in the movie but it seems like he had issues from his past that turned him into a dominating sexual person. He was into, I forget the word, whips and tying mugs up. S&M?

The one problem I had with this movie was that the innocent curious main woman was attempting to try to change this freaky ass dude. WTF is it with women thinking they can change a man and then getting into their feelings because he’s blocking that shit. (Women, gtfoh with that arrogant shit) I mean, this dude came into it with a contract (who does that) that he gave to her about all the freaky shit he was into. SMH. Maybe the book is better than the movie? A give it one thumb up.

Risky Business: This is old school and I hadn’t seen it in forever. Actually, I had forgotten what it was all about. This young dude calls a prostitute up for sex. The next morning, things started to get weird in the movie. One thing leads to another and next thing I know, this young dude is now selling cooch to his friends. Overall the movie was ok. One thumb up.

How to Train Your Dragon 2: this movie doesn’t belong in this blog with the other two freaky movies. This was cool just like the first one was. I want a Toothless now. This took the main guy, Huckup, and made him into someone.   He was a just be yourself and good things could happen for you type of character. He was a goofy odd dude. 2 thumps up.

The Best of Me - Watching Movies in June 2015

The Best of Me: This was a decent movie. Watched it 3 times and finally got a chance to really hear what they were talking about. It’s about two young people from two different worlds who fell in love with each other. 20 years they are brought back together only to realize that they were still in love with other.

I like how they told the story by going back and fourth from past to present. This a definitely a chick flick. 2 thumbs up for me.

Unbreakable: This was ok, wasn’t sure what it was about besides one guy was unbreakable and another was breakable. Almost like total opposite people. There was a twist at the end of the movie. Not sure how I feel about this movie, it wasn’t that good. Samuel L. Jackson but rocking some crazy hair styles, he had a “in the wind” afro.

Setting Goals - June 2015

A little behind on getting this one posted. Been setting goals for myself a year now. This was going to be my celebrating month but now that it’s here, I celebrated in my head for a moment and now it’s back to business. Been slacking more than I care to say lately.

Going to continue transferring my games from my Xbox 360 to flash drives. Didn’t really do much of that last month. Also going to continue working on typing up my journal, another thing I didn’t do much of last month. Started working on a project in April that’s been taking some time and money to finish, going to work more on that this month.

My workout is going ok, no solid routine still. Haven’t been shooting some hoops at the park, that seems to wear me out more than the other exercises I’ve been doing. Chasing that damn ball down and is tiring. Backed my computer files up last month and going to do that again this month.

The new goal for the month is to post one food for thought status on FB each day. I’m about to get to working on these 6 goals right after I post this.

The Hunger Games - Watching Movies in June 2015

The Hunger Games: People told me this was a good book. I’ve never read or heard about it until I seen the movie. I had no expectations and had no clue what it was about. I think I seen it in the movie theater but I can’t remember?  It turned out decent.

To sum it there are 12 districts; 1 male and 1 female between a certain ages from each district are choosing each year to participate in the Hunger Games. They are taking out into area and are supposed to each other. The last one standing is the winner. I guess they changed the rules for the main chick in the movie. That’s pretty much what I’ve gathered. For creativity, I give the movie 2 thumbs up.

The Hunger Games – Catching Fire: This one continues from the one. The main chick is supposedly a symbol of hope for all the districts. The leader guy who pretty controls the hunger games notices it. The leader guy catches the rules the next year for the hunger and chooses previous winners of the hunger games to go back in the hunger games. The main chick is one.

Things got interesting in this 2 movie. I’m anxious to watch the 3rd now.

The Hunger Games – Mockingjay Part 1: Wasn’t feeling this movie at all. The story is going so left that this one kind of lost my interest. Hopefully the next part makes this one make sense.
