Before I Went to Bed Movies 1

Before I go bed, I sometimes turn on a movie but usually pass out a couple of minutes into it. There are some movies that take me months to finish watching because I try to watch them in the bed.

Started watching Yelling to the Sky one night but I couldn’t sleep so I ended up watching the whole movie. It was pretty good for the most part. It was about being raised around dysfunctional people and household, and how things could go in that situation.

It kind of made me think about when I was school and how people would act. I bet there were a lot of kids that came from a bogus household and came to school acting out.

O, is a pretty good movie. All it takes is one jealous disturbed person to damage everybody around him. This movie was dark to me. When the drama started to really go down, I was mostly during to the night in the movie at seemed. I don’t know. It was decent movie.

Green Lantern, was just ok. The first time I seen it, I wasn’t really feeling it but the 2nd time, it was ok. I feel like they could’ve done more with the Green Lantern character. Just seems like they focused more on the special efforts than a good story line.

I’ve always been confused about Green Lantern, one minute he is a white guy, the next he is black then he is white again? I guess I didn’t really read the comics and only paid attention to the pictures, hahaa!!

  1. Thanks for sharing... you've got me wanting to see Yelling to the Sky. I've seen O, but it was so long ago I barely remember it.

I rented "Repentance" from Redbox last night. I liked it. It's with Forest Whitaker, Mike Epps, and Anthony Mackie. It was a bit predictable in ways, but still one that makes you think about actions/ reactions and holding yourself accountable for what you do. It's also nice that it's a mostly black cast doing a thriller movie.

One I really want to see is Frankie & Alice by Halle Berry. It's about a woman with multiple personalities. We'll see.

You should do more of these posts.

    1. You're welcome. It was a random movie I came across on Netflix. I've been wanting to get back to renting movies so i could catch up but not sure when I'll do that.

I'll have to check the Repentance movie out. Is Frankie & Alice in theater?

I have more of these post to come.

    2. Frankie & Alice is either on DVD already or soon to be. I saw the preview to it on the Repentance disc. I'm really intrigued.

For now, I'm hitting the book circuit for a bit since I joined an online book club. Yep- I'm a nerd, I know.
